Below is important information for our Summer Dance Session!
It’s that time of the year for Summer Dance Classes!!
We are so excited to offer a full schedule with many options this summer. Below is a button to click and view our summer schedule.
The Registration portal will open on Thursday April 30th. All classes will be a first come first serve.
Summer Classes will begin the week of June 29, 2026. We are having a 5 week summer session! All Classes are available to all New and Current Students!!!
You can view our summer schedule by clicking on the button below (Summer Dance Schedule). Please note that all the recreational classes are bolded in RED on the attached schedule and all of our Competition Classes are bolded in Blue. Private lessons are listed in black. Available private lessons for solos, duos and/or trios are bolded in black and listed as "Available". If you are interested in a private lesson you must email Chris at jdcdanceoffice@gmail.com prior to April 30th.
Below we have highlighted our recreational classes to help you select the correct class/classes for your dancer. Should you have any questions please feel free to email us at jdcdanceoffice@gmail.com.
Preschool Classes, we will be offering 2 different nights of preschool classes this summer (Ages 2.5 - 4):
Tuesday 5:00-6:00 with Ms. Kasie
Thursday 4:30-5:30 with Miss Maddy
We will also offer Ages 4–6 Rec Tap, Ballet and Jazz Classes on Thursday as follows:
Thursday 5:00-5:30pm Recreational Tap (ages 4-6) with Ms. Kasie
Thursday 5:30-6:00pm Recreational Ballet (ages 4-6) with Miss Maddy
Thursday 6:00-6:30pm Recreational Jazz (ages 4-6) with Miss Maddy
We will also be offering Rec Tap, Ballet & Jazz Classes for Ages 6-8 on Tuesday and Thursday evenings:

On Wednesday we will be offering our Ages 9 and Up Rec Classes:
Wednesday 5:30-6:00pm Recreational Lyrical/Ballet (ages 9 and Up) with Miss Maddy
Wednesday 6:00-6:30pm Recreational Jazz (ages 9 and Up) with Miss Maddy
Wednesday 6:30-7:00pm Recreational Tap (ages 9 and Up) with Ms. Kasie
Also on Wednesday we are offering Gymnastic and Tricks Classes for both Rec and Comp as follows:
Wednesday 5:00-5:30pm Recreational Gymnastics & Tricks for ages 4-7 with Miss Sabrina
Wednesday 5:30-6:00pm Recreational Gymnastics & Tricks for ages 8-11 with Miss Sabrina
Wednesday 6:00-6:30pm Miss Sabrina will be offering an Advanced/Intermediate Gymnastic & Tricks for both Rec and Comp. This is for ages 10 and up but must be intermediate to advanced level.
Again this summer we will also be offering Recreational Hip-Hop Classes for all ages. These are for both beginner and intermediate level dancers and are as follows:
Tuesday 4:30-5:00pm Recreational Hip-Hop (Ages 4 -6) with Miss Wolfe
Tuesday 6:30-7:00pm Recreational Hip-Hop (Ages 7 - 11) with Miss Wolfe
Tuesday 7:00-7:30pm Recreational Hip-Hop (Ages 12 and up) with Miss Wolfe
Finally, we are excited to offer our Pre-Comp and Competition Interest Classes again this summer. These classes are for dancers ages 6-10 and 11 & Up who are interested in Competition or those who were on our Pre-Comp Team this past year! These classes are for students with at least 2 years of dance experience or more and have shown the ability for the next level. If your dancer has an interest, you may speak with your teacher for more information. For those students we have recognized as having the potential for the competition level your teacher will be contacting you. Below are the classes we will be offering this summer:
Tuesday 5:00-5:45pm Pre-Comp & Comp Interest Hip-Hop (Ages 6-10) with Miss Wolfe
Tuesday 5:45-6:30pm Pre-Comp & Comp Interest Hip-Hop (Ages 11 and Up) with Miss Wolfe
Tuesday 6:30-7:15pm Pre-Comp & Comp Interest Tap (Ages 6-10) with Ms. Kasie
Tuesday 7:15-8:00pm Pre-Comp & Comp Interest Jazz (Ages 6-10) with Ms. Kasie

Meet our Class of 2026!
Every dancer is special at JDC, but for the three ladies below they have reached a milestone in their life. They are seniors graduating high school this year and preparing for the next chapter in their life. Before they leave us, we want to take a moment to recognize each one of them.
Congratulations to our Seniors... Addison Furze, Kara Broderson and Katie Davis!!!!

Addison Furze
At what age did you begin dancing?
I began dancing at the age of 3.
What genre of dance is your favorite and why?
My favorite genre is lyrical because it allows me to express emotion and tell a story through movement. I like how it combines technique with personal expression.
What have you learned from JDC?
From JDC, I’ve learned the importance of hard work, consistency, and confidence. I’ve also learned that family isn’t always blood related. JDC has become a second family where we support and push each other to grow, both as dancers and as people.
What are you going to miss most about JDC?
What I’m going to miss most about JDC is the loving and welcoming atmosphere that I’ve learned and grown from my whole life.
What are your plans after high school?
My plans after high school is to attend the University of South Carolina where I will be studying biological sciences!
What are your hopes for the future?
My hopes for the future is to become a pediatrician and hopefully teach dance classes so I can be a role model to others like my teachers have been to me.
Kara Broderson
At what age did you begin dancing?
I began dancing at the age of 4, but I was 7 years old when I joined JDC.
What genre of dance is your favorite and why?
Tap because I love the choreography and the combos you can do with the steps.
What have you learned from JDC?
JI’ve learned that the definition of winning isn’t getting a trophy, it’s doing what you love with the people you love.
What are you going to miss most about JDC?
The family I have made there.
What are your plans after high school?
I plan to go to college to pursue a career in law.
What are your hopes for the future?
To be happy with what I do and where I go, whatever my path takes me.
Katie Davis
At what age did you begin dancing?
I have danced on and off since age 7.
What genre of dance is your favorite and why?
I love lyrical dance because I am able to pour emotions into the dance and tell a story.
What have you learned from JDC?
I have learned how to push myself to achieve my goals and to push forward even when it’s scary.
What are you going to miss most about JDC?
I am going to miss my teacher Ms. Maddy the most. She has been my teacher and mentor since I started dancing at JDC. I will forever be thankful for how she's supported me over the years.
What are your plans after high school?
I am planning on majoring in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education at the University of Kentucky next fall.
What are your hopes for the future?
I hope to continue dancing after I graduate whether that be on a team in college or at a studio!
Our 2021 Dance Recital was held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds! It was an amazing day filled with love, laughter, tears of joy and most of all huge smiles from each and every dancers as they performed their incredible routines for their friends and families. Thank you to all our dance families for another amazing year!!

At JDC Dance Center our motto is..."For the Love of Dance"
JDC was established in 2013. Our studio is located in Ballston Spa, NY. Our mission is to provide children a positive and encouraging environment that will develop their talent, self-esteem, creativity, communication and collaboration skills. Our motto is “For the Love of Dance” and our goal is to instill the “Love of Dance” in all our students.
