Meet our Class of 2026!
Every dancer is special at JDC, but for the three ladies below they have reached a milestone in their life. They are seniors graduating high school this year and preparing for the next chapter in their life. Before they leave us, we want to take a moment to recognize each one of them.
Congratulations to our Seniors... Addison Furze, Kara Broderson and Katie Davis!!!!

Addison Furze
At what age did you begin dancing?
I began dancing at the age of 3.
What genre of dance is your favorite and why?
My favorite genre is lyrical because it allows me to express emotion and tell a story through movement. I like how it combines technique with personal expression.
What have you learned from JDC?
From JDC, I’ve learned the importance of hard work, consistency, and confidence. I’ve also learned that family isn’t always blood related. JDC has become a second family where we support and push each other to grow, both as dancers and as people.
What are you going to miss most about JDC?
What I’m going to miss most about JDC is the loving and welcoming atmosphere that I’ve learned and grown from my whole life.
What are your plans after high school?
My plans after high school is to attend the University of South Carolina where I will be studying biological sciences!
What are your hopes for the future?
My hopes for the future is to become a pediatrician and hopefully teach dance classes so I can be a role model to others like my teachers have been to me.
Kara Broderson
At what age did you begin dancing?
I began dancing at the age of 4, but I was 7 years old when I joined JDC.
What genre of dance is your favorite and why?
Tap because I love the choreography and the combos you can do with the steps.
What have you learned from JDC?
JI’ve learned that the definition of winning isn’t getting a trophy, it’s doing what you love with the people you love.
What are you going to miss most about JDC?
The family I have made there.
What are your plans after high school?
I plan to go to college to pursue a career in law.
What are your hopes for the future?
To be happy with what I do and where I go, whatever my path takes me.
Katie Davis
At what age did you begin dancing?
I have danced on and off since age 7.
What genre of dance is your favorite and why?
I love lyrical dance because I am able to pour emotions into the dance and tell a story.
What have you learned from JDC?
I have learned how to push myself to achieve my goals and to push forward even when it’s scary.
What are you going to miss most about JDC?
I am going to miss my teacher Ms. Maddy the most. She has been my teacher and mentor since I started dancing at JDC. I will forever be thankful for how she's supported me over the years.
What are your plans after high school?
I am planning on majoring in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education at the University of Kentucky next fall.
What are your hopes for the future?
I hope to continue dancing after I graduate whether that be on a team in college or at a studio!
Our 2021 Dance Recital was held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds! It was an amazing day filled with love, laughter, tears of joy and most of all huge smiles from each and every dancers as they performed their incredible routines for their friends and families. Thank you to all our dance families for another amazing year!!

Our mission is to provide children a positive and encouraging environment that will develop their talent, self-esteem, creativity, communication and collaboration skills. Our motto is “For the Love of Dance” and our goal is to instill the “Love of Dance” in all our students.
